Eric Wettengel is a Board-Certified Master Arborist and urban forestry specialist with more than a decade of experience helping Texas communities plan, protect, and grow their urban forests. Eric has led major urban tree inventories, canopy assessments, planting initiatives, and long-term management plans across Texas and has worked directly within city government, giving him first-hand insight into the challenges municipalities face. His approach centers on clear communication, realistic budgeting, and solutions designed to match each community’s capacity, resources, and long-term goals.

From writing tree ordinances and management plans to advising on risk mitigation, sustainability goals, and Tree City USA applications, Eric focuses on empowering local governments to make informed, effective decisions about their green assets. His consulting philosophy is rooted in a belief that healthier trees create healthier communities, and every town, no matter its size, deserves access to expert guidance and resilient urban forestry practices. Cairn & Country was founded to provide that support: practical and tailored to the unique needs of your Texas community.
